Painful toofers

Well Malachi has officially started movingaround! That's right, we arelocking the stairs off and watching him extra carefully as he can openthat up (it just basically slows him down). But this past week he just hasn't quite been himself. He is starting to work on some of the other teeth!
Cuddling with Daddy before Mommy leaves for work
Okay I have rested, I have complained, now I'm ready for the day.
Okay just few more minutes dad. These teeth are killing me.

Please pray for Malachi as he battles these teeth, and if it is something more than teeth coming in please pray that he gets over it quickly!

**Thiessen asks for prayers that his playmate will return...Malachi isn't as "fun" when his mouth hurts.

The chow-down king!

Well Malachi has been working oneating "real" food.We have been on baby food and we have snuck some "food" to him. He has had mashed potatoes or cranberry sauce. But nothing really big. That was until recently. We have allowed him to try to hold onto pickles on his own, watching carefully that he doesn't shove it all in his mouth. Then this past week we have given him bread for breakfast, toast for b-fast,and this morning we had eggs.(I, Amy, found out Malachi is not a fan of eggs....) But last night he hadmac-n-cheese on his own. It was so fun to watch him try to get it all down pat. Thiessen had an ever-watchful eye on him, of course. But only 1 plate ended on the floor and Thiessen missed that opportunity as ninja-momma jumped into actionand save the mac-n-cheese from the clutches of the pooch, but gave them back to the depths of the drain and garbage disposal. Below are a few pictures of Malachi's experience with the wonderful cheesy-ness!
Malachi got to enjoy his first "birthday" dinner at the Gelschus house. Uncle Brad had his birthday back in January. The family all got together and hit up the local B-dubs for some delicious grub and a pretty intense game of quiz-wiz. With each sub-family prevailing in different areas. After dinner we had to say good-bye to Brad, Sammy and Avery for their drive home, But cousin William and Malachi really wanted icecream cake so to Grandma Lolee's and Papa Jon's they went. Below is them playing and when we got the camera they were holding hands.
Happy Groundhog's day! Here is to an awesome rest of the "winter" and a beautiful spring. Go Giants!
